FOUNDATIONS OF FAITH COMMUNITY NURSING COURSE
Faith Community Nursing, also called Parish Nursing, is a specialized area of professional nursing practice focusing on the promotion of health, healing and wholeness within a faith community.
The Foundations of Faith Community Nursing Course focuses on exploring the role of Faith Community Nursing practice as an integrated part of the overall ministry of a faith community. This course will help one gain the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary to begin and maintain a Health Ministry Program.
The Foundations of Faith Community Nursing Course is offered by Southern Illinois Healthcare, an Educational Partner of the Westberg Institute for Faith Community Nursing.
The target audience for the program is professional registered nurses. A current RN license is required. (Other professionals who are interested in participating in a Health Ministry program under the direction of a Faith Community Nurse can attend with the consent of the course director)
The curriculum is taught in six sessions from 8:00a - 4:30p each day.
