congregational health connectors

The Congregational Health Connectors program trains lay people how to promote health and how to connect members of their faith communities to the appropriate resources for health and well being that are available in Southern Illinois. The participants attend a two-day training learning about health topics such as diabetes, high blood pressure, taking medicines correctly, healthy relationships, mental health, and planning for emergencies. A resource toolkit is provided for each faith community. Congregational Health Connectors gain knowledge and support for starting a Health Ministry in their congregation.
