Health Equity Essentials

The Health Equity Essentials training session is designed to equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge and tools needed to understand health equity, identify trends in health disparities, and promote health equity and health literacy in various clinical and community settings. This session is designed to help attendees examine and identify the root causes of health disparities; recognize the importance of disaggregated data to analyze inequities and disparities in health outcomes; analyze common clinical at-risk measures; and employ health equity practices to improve health outcomes. The session will also address inclusive care by utilizing the National CLAS Standards (culturally and linguistically appropriate services) and the SHARE Approach (support, health, activities, resources and education).
